Due to its hardness and plain white colour, the Blanco Macael marble is a type of natural stone that does a good job with basically all kinds of finishings. However, the ones we mostly recommend are:

Polished

This is the type of finishing that most enhances the beautiful white-blue-greyish colour of the Blanco Macael marble. The surface is very shiny and smooth, giving the appearance of a mirror.

Some common applications: flooring, stonework, fireplaces.

Honed

This type of finishing is plain and does not show any shine, in contrast with the polished one. The surface of the stone is velvety, revealing a mate coloured white and less contrast between colours.

Some common applications: exterior cladding, coverings, sculptures.

Sand-blasted

This type of finishing has a thin corrugated appearance, highlighting the white colour. Its surface is characterized by its thin salience and roughness, perfect for flooring or staircases.

Some common applications: interior flooring, staircases, stonework.

Brushed

This type of finishing has a smooth corrugated appearance, highlighting a particular kind of white colour. It surface if characterized by its softness, maintaining the white colour.

Some common applications: flooring, coverings.

Bush-hammered

This type of finishing has a corrugated appearance, highlighting a rough white colour. Its surface is characterized by its salience and roughness, which is highly recommended for flooring.
